I owned a 37mm flare launcher that a purchased at a favorite pawn shop a number of years ago. It came with several plastic shells that are able to be reloaded with black powder or the equivalant Pyrodex. It used shotgun 209 primers and you could reload almost any projectile known to man. After the purchase I fired various projectiles ranging from 35mm film canisters to used D size batteries.This overall performance was expected but not super. i would own one of these again. The launcher had low recoil and would launch a projectile 25-75 yds, depending on the powder charge applied.This is a black powder weapon and has had a questionable track record legally. The United States B.A.T.F. at one point had considered this to the equivilant of manufacturing an explosive device. My advice would be to check all local, state and federal regulations before loading any HOME Grown LOADS. I found this to be fun and some what exciting to see what I could load this launcher with. I would be intersted to get another launcher or the M-11 .380acp. This was a fun experience and I enjoyed it.
